Following Obsessed By Cruelty you can see the progression made.  When the first recording of that album was made and then scrapped for being too messy the second version was made and was overall cleaner.  I hated it and thought it lacked a fair bit.  This is the obvious next step and I assume they learned from the last album.  This is what the new recording of Obsessed By Cruelty should've sounded like.  This is cleaner by far, but it still has that raw edge to it.  The vocals sound as evil as ever here and all three tracks are worthy enough to have been included on their touring setlist and ended up on their Mortal Way Of Live album a year later.  This is the perfect combination of the darkness and filth of what came before and the cleaner polish production that came later.
