Massive Appendage (Aus) - The Severed Erection (1988)
Typically Australian band, no doubt about it. Just look at the bands name, album art, album name, tracklisting etc. There seems to be a theme going on here. But despite all that, this is a really good release from a really good band. Anyone familiar with Fester Fanatics will already know what to expect from the two McCormack brothers, Snuff and Jed. Here we also have another brother, Big Bird on vocals as well as Ox on drums who, whilst not a McCormack brother, was in Fester Fanatics at one time. So I guess you could say its almost the same band except for the absence of Alfie Fester. Anyway, this album is full of the same humor, so don't expect anything too serious. This LP was another culprit of crappy rips on the internet and I decided to share a much better quality with the world. The rip going around the net is paper thin, there is no bottom end at all, most likely due to an old cassette rip. With the lack of low end it sounds a lot faster than it actually is, but in this rip the bass is right up there and whilst not sounding so razor sharp, its still fast. So don't worry about that.
