Back to a time when Roadrunner released good albums still comes this monstrous album.  This is another album that made me want to start uploading all these original vinyl rips.  I don't know the exact year as it has been re-released on CD many times now, but there was a remaster at some stage.  This is a remaster that, personally I think does wondrous things for the album.  The original was thin and a little lacking and had an extremely strange reverb effect on the vocals.  The remaster took away the vocal effects and made everything a lot louder and I can tell you that it fits in nicely with the overall theme of this album.  What I am getting at here is that not often do I hear of people talking about the original, and sometimes have never even heard it and aren't aware of how different it sounds.  So here it is, in all its post-apocalyptic glory.

Another small upload today.  This time it is the ultra rare 7" press of Anatomy's Dark Religion demo.  Originally it was released as a demo tape in 1991 but was later rereleased on 7" limited to 200 copies.  Very dark Death/Black Metal here, not for the faint of heart.  I have everything this band has ever released, save the original tape version of this release.  So watch out for their second demo and debut EP being uploaded soon.

The original release of this crushing album in all of its glory.  Without doubt one of my favourite Thrash albums from the USA.  The bass guitar on this album is totally insane, especially in Twisted Face.  Speaking of face, I found this album at a local record fair and I was so shocked to have found something like this there that my faces reaction was not to different to the cover artwork.  I'm pretty sure that actually happened.  And speaking of cover artwork, fuck yeah, fucking awesome.  Brain Mushrooms.

Absolutely amazing album from a band that seemed ahead of their time and is therefore completely left behind when talking about masterpieces.  The double kicks in this album are out of this world.  When I say that I don't mean they are technical or over the top or whatever the fuck people are into.  They are not overly fast but they are loud like a cannon and have a lot of power behind them, and that is what really gets my balls tingling.  Next thing about this is the vocals.  Anyone who knows me knows that I am a sucker for female vocalists in metal bands.  At the time of writing this I can't think of any female fronted metal band I love more than Acid.  This is definitely up there at the top.  Highly recommended.  If you aren't into female vocalists and only ever hear one band then make sure it is this one.
