Razor (Can) - Malicious Intent (1985)
I fucking love this album. It gets looked over only due to its weird and under produced production. You'd think that it would be a step up from Evil Invaders, but its actually gone backwards in quality. Everything sounds thin, but not sharp like on Executioner's Song, its very boomy and cardboard box like. Despite this flaw, the songs on here are some of my favourites. The aggression is present, in all instruments and the vocals still have that screeching that Razor is known for. Embro is even hitting the absolute shit out of the top of the ride cymbal, creating a massive pinging noise, which I happen to love and is also present in bands like Sarcofago and Morbid Saint. Overall, this is one of my favourite Razor albums after Executioner's Song. Now, if only this had the same production that album had, it would be truly insane.
